dominic monaghan week
but first: chuck.
i watch too much tv, because i freaking called it again!! shaw was playing them all along, takes sarah to france and plans to drown her, and chuck kills shaw to save sarah's life! my heart was pounding for that moment, it was amazing, mostly due to "kettering" by the antlers. it really brought the moment. i only wish they would have spent more time on chuck dealing with killing a man... it's the first man he's killed, and it was shaw. i was expecting a little more angst. but still, in the end chuck gets to see the eiffel tower and be completely with sarah. when the show comes back it'll be epic, with casey back on the team and the three of them kicking butt in paris.
okay, so last weekend tbs had this lord of the rings marathon, and i got completely sucked in. i decided to re-watch all three movies, all the special features, and all three extended versions with commentary because they're awesome. ("how many times, elijah, you can't double tig a tag!") so now i'm completely in love again, plus obsessed with all the actors. and whatdya know, now charlie's back on lost.
how perfect is that? although the episode was a little cheesy, i loved loved LOVED seeing him again, and next week there's michael!! and charlie's not totally gone, because he was still alive and kicking at the end of the episode, and then he's got to go find claire, the woman of his dreams. so we may see him again! i mean, how hard is it to pop over to lost when you're on flashforward? (although lost is in hawaii. nevermind.)
and then tonight is a new episode of flashforward, so i'm not done with dom yet! tonight we find out who the mole is and apparently it's totally unexpected, so i'm excited for that.
a couple more things... i was also checking out some of elijah wood's other stuff, and i was curious to see what his part was in sin city (well he's a cannibal and everything, but... yeah) so i watched it on youtube. holy FUCK. big mistake. oh my GOD i have never seen something so disturbing in my life. it was probably a combination of good acting and just pure disgustingness, but seriously. he was like harry potter gone wrong, and the fact that he doesn't talk through the whole thing is just... AARRGGHH. shiver inducing. that's one movie i have no interest, NONE, in seeing.
but in more pleasant news, i do want to see bobby, which is one of those "spanning years and continents featuring several thousand actors" movies, like valentine's day or paris, je t'aime. and, y'know. elijah wood is in it. amongst other people. of course, that's not the only reason i want to see it; i really want to see it because i have always kind of loved robert kennedy, i think in a lot of ways he was better than his brother and it seemed like he was really president instead of JFK. he seemed to be running the show, like, behind the scenes. and he seemed more hands on with all the race issues, like he was more invested than john.
so yeah. for the rest of my life i'll be watching movies. (BUT NOT SIN CITY OH MY GOD.)
