It's a week into NaNoWriMo, and this is the word count I've managed:

Not as good as last year. Last November at this time I was at 17,500. I'm just having a hard time getting into this story. Last year it was like inspiration after inspiration; this year the characters are sitting around talking to each other about repetitive and boring things because I can't think of what else I want them to do.
My main character needs to be kidnapped by pirates. Or aliens. Do you suppose alien abduction would work in a fantasy story?
I did not watch House tonight. I saw the preview and it didn't look terribly appealing. I may, however, be getting sucked back into ER, God help me. No, show, go away. I stopped watching you two seasons ago!
