Joensuu is host to a tug-of-war between winter and spring at the moment. I have bid sayonara to the nonsensical work of berry picking. It's such a shame; it is actually a perfectly fine job, but the conditions created by the mismanagement of the employers I was working for made it a dehumanizing experience. Since the summer started, I've found three bugs in my room. My window is pretty much closed at all times, unless I'm standing right there to make sure nothing unsavoury sneaks in. The party last night was fun. Great food, great company, little surprises, and easy conversation.
