Okay, here's the same thing, except this time it's anime.
Ghost in the Shell - A-freakin'-mazing. I really enjoyed the three films, Stand Alone Complex, and 2nd GiG. They each have a different feel and a different interpretation of the characters. If I were to cosplay from this series, I'd probably go for Togusa [that ridiculous mullet, how can I resist?] or Motoko from the first or third films [I like her color interpretation in the first film, and her bodysuit seems more modest in the third film than nearly any other combat outfit of hers].
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - Still in the midst of watching this one, so no spoilers plz. I can really relate to Kyon. I have to say, despite being the main plot device of the series, Haruhi really annoys me. Probably because of a former acquaintance of mine who would greatly appreciate the delusion that the universe and existence revolves around her. I really like Mikuru, so cute.
Paradise Kiss - I've just begun to watch this, and it's really fun. Every time I see them in their studio sewing, I think of
17965 and her awesome schooling pursuits.
Princess Tutu - started to watch this, unsure of what I think yet. I have no idea why she becomes a ballet princess, or why that grandpa-looking guy is so scary, or why I can't stop being distracted by shounen-ai possibilities regarding the prince and his dark-haired control-freak of a friend.
A Little Sugar Snow Fairy - I'm bound and determined to get through this series. I think I'll have a rash and a severe headache at the end from all the cute I've endured, but it will all work out. I hope.
Miracle ☆ Train - Really cute reverse harem with a cycling main female lead. Unusual, but I feel it's more honest that way - considering these kinds of shows want you to put yourself in her place anyway. Each train station on the Oedo Line in Japan is embodied by a bishie, and they all ride the 'Miracle Train', which only appears to lost young women. As with typical reverse harem anime, each guy has different characteristics. So far Tochou [the glasses-character, of course!] and Shinjuku [the long-haired playboy-type] are my favorites. Star-studded with seiyuu too, btw.
More when I remember what I've watched.
