my right foot is cold
since power was out in the O&M building herpetology was canceled today. I love it when campus loses power. when I was a sophomore my organic professor lectured literally in the dark when the power was out. it's amusing to look back on now but I was pissed when he did it. now I will put my free time to good use by studying for my entomology exam (and posting in lj).
a few quick notes:
my apartment smells like ass. maybe one of the feral cats that lives under my building died and is beginning to rot. I sure hope not. I was beginning to make friends with the pure white feral cat.
spring break is in less than 2 weeks. I can not wait to see Derek again. I'm going to buy 2 big suitcases to take with me and stuff them full of stuff so that I have less to haul to South Carolina when I move out. some big items I have to purge: my computer monitor/mouse/keyboards/speakers, VCR, TV, hanging bookshelf, desk, tall wooden thing my TV is on, table and chairs, baker's rack, exercise bike, end table, stand for a 29 gallon fish tank, dresser. if anyone is interested in any of that let me know. I'm willing to sell or give away most everything I own. I'm keeping the fish and their tank, my plants, my bed, the wicker elephant, bed/bath/kitchen stuff, my paintings and my clothes. I'm looking forward to getting rid of all my crap and later obtaining newer, nicer crap.
I will not make it up to Oklahoma this weekend. This Saturday is the wildlife society's career workshop. it's an all day thing and it's run by the education committee which I'm a part of. I signed up to do a bunch of stuff at it last semester. I just forgot that it was this weekend because I had never written it on my calendar. I can't back out of my commitment. I know the musical will be wonderful and I expect someone to tape it and send a copy to me.
I need to go feed my fish now.
