Washington - final post
I had a few Washington posts that I was planning, but since it's a few weeks in the past I'll just make one short final post.
The main reason for the trip was to visit my grandma. She is getting on in years and the last time we saw her was last year at my sister's wedding. I'm also planning a few other (perhaps out-of-country) visits in the next year so I wanted to make sure I got to see her.
I took these 2 photos of her, and thought they were great shots. I accidentally had the setting on "sunset," but was pleasantly surprised with the warm tones that came out. (I took a couple more on the regular setting and they looked "cold" in comparison)
My aunt realized, while we were there, that my grandma's birthday was not too far off. We had never really celebrated her birthday (not sure why, maybe cultural?) so she suggested we do something small, like surprise her with cake. So we did! And we even got party hats (with Mater from Cars)!
