I really enjoy doing these end of the year reviews to look back on the previous year. I've been neglectful of LJ and I am highly considering a move to another blog. I have set up accounts in various other places, but haven't decided which one I want to move to ( Read more... )

What other blog hosts are you considering? From what I've seen, Blogger is the favorite (as far as the blogs that people read). I would love to be on Typepad, especially now that they added the LJ-style commenting, but I'm not going to pay for it!

Typepad would also be my #1 choice if it were free. I really like Blogger, but I wish it had threaded commenting. I'm also thinking about WordPress.

I think, of all of the outside craft blogs that I read, that only one of them was on WordPress. (Perhaps a couple of more, that are hosted on their own site) And I know that there are a lot of people that will only read blogs on their own host. (I think I also looked around WordPress and wasn't happy with the customization features. I don't remember what it was, but I'm thinking you had to use extensive coding)

I think Blogger is nice because it is connected to your Google account and the coolest people are Google users :P. Actually, the coolest people pay for TypePad . . .

If I "move" I'll probably double post for sometime.

I used to double post on Blogger & actually had a few readers, but closed it down because it was getting to be too much work (I was doing it a really stupid way!). I started one up again later, & have been posting for a while ( a few months), but have yet to have a comment. Not sure why it worked the first time!
