Our house guest, John, left on Sunday. It was really fun having him around, but I know that 2 weeks was a little long for him and probably for us too. We had a lot of little adventures and it was nice to get to know one of Steve's oldest friends a little better.
This week started out pretty nice, as Steve had MLK day off. We went for coffee, walked the dogs, went to a local casino, watched more "Lost", and generally had a good day. Today I went for a job interview of sorts, and I am still debating if the job is the right fit for me. It is a full-time job, sort of. It is kind of hard to explain. As of right now I told them I am interested, but I am still trying to figure out how interested I actually am.
I decided that I need to get back into working out and had my first day at our apartment gym yesterday. Today I feel kinda weird, but that is my body adjusting I suppose.
Since John was here we didn't really watch much "lost" and Steve doesn't like to get into it too much after work because once we watch one episode, we usually have to watch another, and another...I do like the series so far, but I don't think we will catch up to actually be able to watch the final season as it happens.
Other than that I finally finished the fourth book in the "Songs of Fire and Ice" series by George RR Martin. I really should have listened to Steve and read these books a lot sooner! They are really good, and you never really know what is going to happen. Apparantly it has been 5 years since the 4th book came out, but I am hoping that with the HBO series coming out soon, that the new book will be released to coincide with that, but who knows. I have also started a new mini painting, so I hope that the creative bug will stay with me for a while.
