This past Thanksgiving week has been pretty nice. Steve was off all week-I am still unemployed, so I was home too. The whole week was about Steve doing the things he wanted to do, and getting some errands done as well.
We started out last weekend going to an 80's movie anthem sing-a-long. We got to the movie theater early, so we went to get a coffee and at new concepy Starbucks that served beer and wine. There was a lady putting on a show, who was pretty bad. All I have to say is that she sung a song about coffee-more specifically lattes. It was sort of lounge-y which I appreciated in a way, but when she went out into the audience and asked people what they were drinking...uh yeah.
The sing-a-long was really fun. People were singing and dancing in the aisles. They are going to do another sing-a-long for Valentines day witht the theme of 80's love songs. I can imagine singing my heart out to "I want to know what love is" for sure.
The next day we hung out with our friends and their two kids at a children's science museum and then saw "a Christmas Carol" in IMAX. That was a lot of fun but being around all those kids got me sick. I am still sick today.
The rest of the week we did errands, played video games, and just hung out. We spent Thanksgiving at my parents house. It was a traditional meal, and everything was really good. Steve and I did a little shopping on the weekend, looking for Christmas deco. I think I will be putting stuff up next weekend. I can't believe it is already December as of tomorrow. One month out of work, with one more month until we will be in 2010. Meep!
