So the Cruxshadows concert was awesome, as usual. Did manage to accomplish all three things I'd been talking about doing at said concert: Wearing white, talking to Cole (light guy) about a job, and fulfilling my bet with Alex by telling a member of the band the Oreo joke. Sadly, Cole already has a replacement, but is a really cool guy to just talk to. Yay, Cole!
Telling the Oreo joke to Trevor. Not one of my best moments, but I did it and did it well. Alex didn't think I'd have the guts to really sell it, but by god I did. The reaction was the expected "*amused nod* Probably should have seen that one coming." In retrospect, should have picked George. Seems to have a goofier sense of humor. Nevertheless, Martha thinks that Trevor is going to tell the rest of the band, and I will henceforth be branded "The Oreo Girl." I said Trevor'd never recognize me again. Martha pointed out that I was one of maybe three blondes in the entire audience, and thus it's not out of the realm of possibility. I cringe.
For traditional "Jenn goes to a Cruxshadows concert" updates:
-Results of The Goth Game (wherein one attempts to make each member of the band crack a smile): Smiles obtained from Rogue, Jessica (even got the 'thank you' blown kiss during band introductions. Score!), George, Trevor (a result of Oreo), Donna from "Ego Likeness" during the rendition of Cassandra, and Rachel (a tough nut to crack when onstage). Sadly, Sarah was left ungrinning, as she was on the other side of the stage.
-Was singled out by bass player of opening band yet again, much to the mirth of my comrades. I say it doesn't count, as it was the same bass player from last year. Martha says it does 'cause he probably didn't remember me from last year. He actually sat down on the stage in front of me during the song. Was much amused.
And so goes the "OMG THAT ROCKED!!!!111one" update
