Change in my luck
So it looks like my luck has changed. That speeding ticket was the first of it. Last night Amy went to the open house that her friend was having for her new school (which is in Amy's old house). She ended up talking to this guy who was looking for one more person with a degree to work an after school program called CASA at Hutchison Farms (which is also the kid's school!). She described me and he said the job was mine if I called him today. I did and filled out all the applications. I should have an interview by Wednesday and have the job! I will be an after school leader at 20hrs a week and salary is still up in the air but it will be over $12/hr. He also offered me a supervisor position that is going to open up in October for 10 more hrs a week and more money. The subbing orientation also got moved today up to August 30th! So I will be able to sub in the mornings and then work the after school program. Finally I can stop worrying about work.
Tomorrow we are leaving to see Jamestown and go to Great Wolf Lodge. My online class seems a little complicated. I am really unclear on the writing assignments. Hopefully that will get better.
My Lost obsession is growing. I am over halfway through the second season and I can't stop. It's so awesome!
Softball is be starting soon. I am going to have to go to the batting cages next week.
Yay! Life is better. I just miss my pants.
