Aww I forgot about LJ for two weeks!

I think I forgot because I've been so obsessed with a Ravelry group I joined called "Karma Yarn Swap". In the forums there are multiple threads where you can swap yarn. You basically would claim a yarn that you like that someone offered up with a "me please" and then you offer up a yarn that you have stashed for someone else to claim. One good thing came of me joining this group... I was forced to visit the Post office in a timely manner so Min got her package finally. I have yet to mail Spencers'... I'm pretty horrible lol. However, I've spent $80 on postage now... and I still have a few more packages to get out... so I think I will be dropping that group. >_<; The money I spend on postage is probably better spent on bills or even more yarn for myself. Lol >_<;

I guess I will write this entry going with good stuff first, bad stuff followed by more good stuff. That's usually how I like to get news... good news, bad news then more good news. The second dose of good news is like the "spoonful of sugar (that) helps (the) medicine go down" medicine being the bad news. In my opinion it semi-neutralizes the terrible of course it does not change the terrible... but yeah. Anyways, there was an accident on Monday (March 7th) in Cloverdale... between a motorcycle and a dump truck. I learned on Weds that the motorcyclist (who did not survive the crash) was actually my managers husband. I still can't really believe it. Life is so delicate.

Yesterday, 88 stitches had a sale. 40% off between 9-9:59am, then 30 then 20... etc. I wasn't able to make it for the 40% because of work but I did get to buy some yarn at 15% off which was better than nothing. =) I had to buy another ball of yarn for Salma's baby to be baby blanket that I'm crocheting. It's kind of annoying because the one ball was like $13 so it SHOULD have been enough. But it wasn't. So now this blanket is $26 worth... I prob should have just bought one at this point. =P

I never realized how cheap Malabrigo is in the states though... I've bought Malabrigo for $19 when its like $12 in the states! Now that our dollar is better I think the prices will go down... at least one can hope. =)

Well, my little trip with Jordan is booked. Check in is on May 9th and check out is May 12th. Four days and three nights in lovely Ocean shores, Washington. I'm really looking forward to it. I've already booked it off and it's approved. Yay.

I really need to apply for a new job and check on the status of that course I want to take in January. >_<; REALLY REALLY REALLY!

ETA: OMG paid acct trial! YAY I HAVE SOME OF MY LJ ICONS FOR TWO WEEKS!! WHEEEEE <3
