HP, etc

I played DDR for HOURS yesterday. It's kind of embarrassing, actually. My new roommate got a "new" mix and I just kind of started and didn't stop. It's still pretty hot in Boulder and I don't have air conditioning, so I just kind of kept shedding layers when I got too hot until I was down to shorts and a bikini top. I outlasted both of my roommates (partly because I still play on a low setting, partly because one went for a run that day) and got a lot better at it, I think. Not the most impressive skill to have, I know. When I got out of Harry Potter later that night, though, My bad ankle was really sore and my opposite knee hurt as well. So I kind of stiffly hobbled around for the rest of the night.

Speaking of Harry Potter... I was really surprised to say I actually liked it. I haven't been able to say that since the first movie, and regardless, I've kept going to see every one of them. I guess it finally paid off. I'm kind of a purist about the books and used to want the movies to follow the books pretty closely, but I've since backed off on that hope a bit. In any case, movie 5 was pretty faithful to the book. I wanted to see Dobby and more of the Kreacher/Sirius dynamic, more of Tonks (who seemed kind of 2-dimensional, sadly) and wanted the end of the movie to be more true to the book, and obviously, I wanted to see more of the character interactions, but the director did a really good job. It felt more like a "movie" than the others, if that makes sense. Like he took it seriously. I hope that he works on the next one as well.

I'm just taking it easy today because I accomplished almost nothing around the apartment yesterday. Plus I'm still not sleeping well. I'm kind of at a loss about that. It's kind of a pain in the ass to be dealing with that on the weekends, when those are the only two days each week that I get to sleep.
