my favorite song at the moment. it's just beautiful. and sad. but beautiful is why i like it so much. especially the first line of that verse. show me a line that's as evocative as that.
on a different note, can i just say how impossible 3 year olds are when they can't get out to play? it's been raining all week, so at work we've had to stay inside, and as a result there are more tears, more fighting, less sharing, more "poopie diapers," as they like to say, and less following directions. someone should do a study...i'm sure they have.
and can i rant about parents who send their children to camp with junk food for lunch?!? are they aware of the health issues and that something like 30% of american children are obese? it blows my mind. i can understand being busy, but that's no excuse to throw a Lunchable in a lunchbox and call that lunch. raising a child involves instilling healthy habits. we're supposed to encourage them to eat their healthy food (sandwich, fruit, etc) before the chips, rice krispies treats, etc. but when a kid has a lunchable, there is no healthy part. slices of processed ham are no better for you than the snickers bar for dessert. why put all those chemicals into your kid's body???
aahh sorry if i offended anyone. i'm not a health food nut, but i think parents have a responsibility not to feed their kids pure junk on a regular basis. occasionally, fine.
