Author’s Note: Requested by hrymfaxe and wildeagain . Another of a number of drabbles dedicated to my Nana. Set sometime after Journey’s End and probably before The End of Time.
Donna had the most incredible dreams sometimes, she dreamt of alien places and creatures, of the past and the future. They were so real these dreams, not like dreams at all, she could almost taste, touch and smell the experiences. Sometimes she awoke with her heart pounding and gasping for breath. They felt like memories but they couldn’t be memories. She decided that she’d just been watching too many science-fiction movies.
But then incredible things did keep happening and she just kept missing them. It had become a running joke with her friends; Donna sleeping as the world ends. Most of the time she just thought they were pulling her leg but sometimes she wasn’t so sure. When she raised the issue with her mum and granddad they would exchange a look and then change the subject. Donna was sure there was something they weren’t telling her and that it was somehow connected to her dreams. But then Nerys would text her with the latest juicy gossip and she’d forget all about it.
