Yeah. Right. I couldn't give a crap about cars and I can't see myself making a habit of perusing the websites anytime soon.
However, when I received an email this afternoon entitled The supernatural '67 Chevrolet Impala I couldn't help but follow the link.
Interesting stuff... If you're into Supernatural.
I love the reason show creator, Eric Kripke, gives for deciding that the boys were going to cruise the highways in a '67 Impala:
“When I was originally writing the show I wanted to give the guys an American muscle car,” Kripke said.
“My first choice was a '65 Mustang. My neighbour said it had to be a '67 Impala because you can put a body in the trunk.
Cool Bananas. Isn't that what everybody looks for when choosing a car?
I'm glad they went with the Impala because whilst the Mustang is a nice looking car it doesn't have the same toughness, credibility or stability about it as the Impala. Those two boys practically live in that car and I'm sure they've slept in it more then once. That so wouldn't be happening in a Mustang. Sammy's 6'4" for god's sake!
I also like the back story of the Impala. It was originally John's car, the family car, which he gave to Dean. Having a two door 65 Mustang as a 'family' car doesn't seem likely.
