Wow
I just remembered that I used to post here!! I can't remember what went wrong... oh yes, I discovered an online forum for a while which started taking up all my free time at work, and then I got promoted and quickly became too busy to even think about things like writing blogs whilst at work. And as my front page kindly informed, it has ended up being 72 WEEKS since I last wrote anything in here! Which is crazy.
I spent the last 40 minutes or so reading some old entries which was kinda nice, like a diary, it reminded me of things I had been doing and with my memory being not what it was, that was a nice thing. I am having a sleepy day at work which involves me not wanting to get deeply involved in anything, and it being quiet enough for me to just have a good old doss, like the old days.
So what's happened since I last wrote in here. Well quite a lot really seeing as how it was August 2006. I went insane for a short while and recovered around Christmas 2006 which was a great relief to me and everyone around me. 2007 was a nice year, happy and miles more relaxed than 2006 because the whole money situation is much rosier and I wasn't insane at any point during the year. We had some great days and nights, a trip to Prague and the long-awaited holiday to South Africa which was awesome. Plus many babies were born - not to me, you understand - but to various people's sisters and cousins, with another one on the way in March, so in a way I feel a lot older. Which is strange but true.
Christmas was stressful but ended well, and New Year involved a bonfire in the middle of the countryside and guns being fired. Strange.
And now it's 2008, and I really can't believe how fast time is passing by, it's frankly terrifying. I worked out how much we have paid off our mortgage earlier and nearly passed out. I feel like I am hurtling toward middle age with no brakes. And I'm not sure how I feel about that. But I'm happy so that's what matters.
Anyway, I don't really know if anyone I know is still about, but what the hey, it's fun to just type randomly on the odd occasion. It would be good to hear from anyone who does does frequent these parts! :)
