Update!!
It's been a quiet week so far - and in fact last week was pretty quiet too - in terms of house-buying activity. I can't believe we first saw it only 2 weeks ago - it seems weird that so much has happened since then. We did find out yesterday that the house passed its valuation which is good news, so hopefully the nice mortgage people will give us all their money now (and then take twice as much back!). The solicitors have been very quiet but we're too scared to phone them in case they charge us £50 for the privilege. But apparently they're good so it should be okay. We have also made plans to spend all of our non-existent money in Ikea this week - oops!! The current owners tell us that their apartment will be ready in three weeks at the most. So it looks like it's really happening!! Fucking awesome.
In other news, Closed Quarter are back on the path to rock stardom after falling off the wagon somewhat - our My Space page is thriving and we have a number of random people we've never met coming to our gig next Friday in Newcastle which is quality. It's the first since October. After that we may actually be able to lay claim to some 'fans' which would be a mighty cool thing (other than friends and family whose support is always essential but who cannot count as fans as they tend to be a bit biased). And we're writing new tunes, which rock. We have a face-shredding riff and some very heavy drums for one of them - I think we could be going a bit metal. It's pretty damn cool.
Anyway that's about it for now. Just waiting now to own a house and become a rock star. Not quite sure how those things will work together but I guess we'll find out!! At least one will be happening in the near future. Touch wood!!
