We only went and did it... well, almost
After spending the whole of last week with every bodily organ crossed, refusing to talk to anyone in case it tempted fate, I would tentatively like to inform everyone that WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!! Sort of. Almost. I still feel a bit weird saying it out loud (well, in type!) because we still have to go through the motions, but it's pretty much a done deal. It's worth way more than we can afford and we are getting a very cheeky deal, the mortgage people said yes, we've paid a small deposit, and to top it all off we have a financial advisor who is an amazing woman who I love. Well, she's making everything a damn sight easier and we don't even have to pay her. Awesome.
In theory, we should be in the new house by the end of April - it's pretty amazing how quickly it moves once it all comes together. For now we just have to wait while clever people like surveyors and solicitors do their jobs, so I'm feeling slightly more relaxed than I did last week when we were waiting to see if we could afford it, waiting on decisions and estate agents and all that jazz. It's a damn good feeling, only going to feel better when we get the keys and it's actually, officially, OURS. Oh, and when we get some money back - that's a bastard isn't it!!
