(no subject)
Okay, so most of my university's faculty is on strike. Out of all of my classes, I only have two teachers who aren't on strike unless my Monday night class teachers is not on strike as well. It really sucks because I had to look at my Spanish book and see that it's not in a super clear format and try to do exercises on my own. Now, I remember a lot of Spanish but some of the stuff was a bit new to me so it just sucked. If this strike continues to go, I only have two classes in the next two days. How fun is that?
EMU FACULTY: GET YOUR ASS IN GEAR! I mean, come on! They had the entire summer to negotiate. They have been proclaiming to have 20plus meetings about this and they couldn't figure it out while the students weren't in session? What a rip off to me! I mean, I understand where they are coming from but I think it is childish on their parts to screw the students over but not showing up to class when they are claiming that they are striking with the students in mind as well. Somehow, this just doesn't add up in my head.
But anyways. Onto better news. I went to the Renaissance Festival on Monday. I hadn't been there in years and it was so much fun! I forgot how much I missed going to it. I SWORE I saw Chris there though towards the end of the day. If it wasn't Chris, my god, it was his twin! I wish I could go again this year but it probably won't happen. I'll just have to make a point of going to it next year as well. Maybe I'll actually dress up or something (I only wore a garland this time).
Oh yes! More importantly, I am moved into my apartment. I'm actually sitting in it right now stealing.....errr borrowing someone's wifi connection. I thank the person greatly for letting me use it!
