So lately I've been selling a lot of my DVDs. The ones I like rather than love. The ones people gave me that I didn't love. As with any book-lover, my shelf space is at a premium, so I'm very reluctant to go to Ikea and buy more media storage boxes. Strangely enough, opening my inbox and finding a 'SOLD: Dispatch now' email makes me very happy at the moment.
This has started me thinking about disposing about the entire DVD and CD collection which would mean:
- More money towards the Dream Bike
- More space
- Probably storing everything electronically.
Not something I'm sure I could deal with! Even though I'm very blessed to have an iMac I live in fear of computer crashes, and I don't want to lose my copy of the Ian McKellan version of Richard III - my most beloved adaptation of Shakespeare ever. This leaves CD wallets as the best space saving option. I'm trying to overcome my 'but they look so unsightly' feelings about them. In the end though, it might be the best option, especially as it gives me the chance to expand my collection later on, which I know I'll want to do.
Other news: Managed the 8am service this morning, despite my late night. I love that I keep being struck in new ways by the words of the liturgy. Currently I prefer the shorter service, which is possibly something to do with the fact that I'm currently busy doing things on a Sunday that should have been done the previous two days. Another thing to conquer perhaps?
Also, it's Games Night tonight, which is always joyeous.
