I am a complete and utter devotee of chick lit and romance novels. Screw my lit degree track, I want the fluff. I disguise this by reading Jane Austen, which is just chick lit with a Rowling-like twist from the 1800s. Right now I'm into Carrie Bebris's Mr & Mrs Darcy mysteries, which take the characters from various Austen novels and spin them into... chick lit. Awesome.
