So I tried playing Civilization on my computer yesterday, and the most delicious thing happened.
I don't know whether it's Civ 3 on a Windows 7 machine, and/or my insanely high pixel count (which does actually cause problems on some websites with the text being wonky-blurred, sadly), but when you go to quit the game you have to hit a pixel-thin strip just right or it literally will not let you quit, it will take you to the next highest menu option. Just one more turn indeed.

Day 13: Do you prefer canon or fanon when you write? Has writing fanfic for a fandom changed the way you see some or even all of the original source material?
Canon, definitely. (Who answers fanon? Hardcore shippers?) Fanon is the just the bits that everybody agrees upon to fit in-between and yeah, it's nice, but should never be used in favor of canon.
As for the source material, I don't really think so. It's shown me new crack pairings that could be lol-worthy, but that's about it, really.
