GUESS WHO'S STALKING THE DCTP PAGE??!!!
I watched the unsubbed version at midnight last night and oh goooddd, LOVE. LOVE FOR EVER AND EVER.
SECRET OF PHANTOM LADY, Y/Y? I seriously haven't wanted to know who a character is this badly since River freaking Song. I mean, we already more or less know who she is, and Gosho isn't even close to Moffat levels of stomping on expectations, BUT I WANT PROOF. I WANT THE IMAGES, AND THE REACTIONS. I WANT TO KNOW THE WHOLE STORY.
(I want sexy phantom thieves having the most unlikely courtship ever.)
(SHINJITSU WA ITSUMO HITOTSU! I CHEERED. AT THAT PART AND MANY OTHERS.)
Ahahah and now I want to write KaiAo like woah, I might just pull out one of my old, half-completed things.

Day 12: Have you ever attempted an "adaptation" fic of a favorite book or movie but set in a different fandom?
Yes. Once. It failed. Badly. (And we shall never speak of this again.)
Actually, not quite. Now that I think of it, there was another. It never got up off the ground though, I just have a bunch of snippets of Shinichi, Heiji, Kaito, and Saguru teleporting to Avernum and going through the plot of the fourth one. BUT NOW THAT THE FIRST ONE'S BEING RERELEASED (AGAIN) I MIGHT JUST TRY AGAIN WITH THAT ONE (GUESS WHO'S EXCITED GUEESSSS!!!)
Oh man I'm so glad he's keeping the town-country thing, and the original artwork for the traits and stuff, but updating the character art, and I was a little wary of the new skills thing at first, but now that I think of it I'm really happy that he's changing it (because oh god, I got stuck so horribly in the fifth one, rargh).
Maybe I should actually play the Avadon demo. Alien's been playing it, and he says it's not as good as his other games but still pretty decent. Got him to admit that Avernum is better than Geneforge though, plotwise at least. He still likes the Geneforge play style better, even though the plot of nearly every game can be summed up as, "You are on an abandoned island, and things have gone to shit. Fix it. Or don't. Or kill everyone! You choose."
Alien and I tried a joint playing of the first Avernum demo. He created Asterix and Getafix (he's been playing the Nethergate demo), and I created Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth. First we ran around trying to break down doors and accidentally killed Asterix, at which point we reloaded. Then we got the idea to push all the boxes in the guarded storeroom into an empty room and loot them there where no one could see. It worked marvelously, and I can't believe we never thought of that before (did Jeff Vogel think of that possibility?). Then we tried breaking into the commander's desk at the barracks, and Miles was decimated. And Alien thought if we deleted the character we could recreate him since it was still the beginning and we didn't have any experience yet, so we deleted him. And we couldn't recreate him. So we reloaded again, and after bashing through a few doors and running around screaming for lockpicks for the ones that remained shut, and taking way too long to kill a few goblins, we decided that we fail.
