How I spent my Christmas Eve Eve
Last night I slept on a spare mattress on the floor. Mirette slept on my bed, and Suavecita and Eleclya slept on the sofa- bed. I slept very well, normally when I have a sleepover at my home, I find it hard to fall asleep at all.
I had a dream where I was at the local shopping mall, looking for Valentine’s day cards. I woke up early, feeling happy and content after having such a nice dream. I also had a dream about taking part in pagan Winter Solstice celebrations where everyone held hands and sang the song Eatnemen Vuelie, and living in a huge mansion with Roger Delgado, and the recent Christmas special of Doctor Who that I haven’t seen yet, mind.
I got up later, when everyone else was up as well. I made coffee for the others, and then I washed my face and put on some of the coffee & silk protein face mask from the tube that I had gotten as a Christmas & birthday gift from Annie.
I put lotion on my skin, clipped my nails, and got dressed.
Eleclya kept on complaining because she had a hangover, and besides she isn’t a morning person at all. She more or less turns into a vampire in the mornings.
Suavecita went to the parking lot and drove her car to my home. We had to bring ten bags of stuff down the stairs to her car, and the elevator stopped working. There was also a non- Finnish speaking couple with a baby in stroller and a whiny dog, desperate to use the lift.
I was in a bad mood but didn’t show it, bless.
After Eleclya, Suavecita, and Mirette had finally left, and all their stuff was gone, I took all the blankets and pillows and mattresses to the balcony, took the sheets off my bed, replaced the towels, and washed them together in the laundry.
As of writing this, I feel calmer already. I like going to parties with my friends, but I still love being at my home and doing housework.
I kept picking the dead skin off my lower lip, until it started bleeding. I blotted it with a paper hankie, and then applied lip balm.
I finished knitting a quilt square and started knitting another.
I would have liked to go for a walk, but it was getting dark. Besides, it’s a tad bit cold outside.
I called my granny, like I do on every Sunday. She has been doing alright. I might go visit her in January or February.
I watched a bit of the Halloween movie Hocus Pocus, the TV show Doctor Who, and The Good Place episodes on Netflix.
I took the inflatable mattress to the downstairs storage room.
I also took out the household waste and biological waste, I will take out the recycling later.
My, it was nice to go outside when it was cold. The moonlight felt like silk on my skin. It didn’t even start to feel like biting until I made it back inside.
I washed three loads of laundry and took it downstairs to the drying room. The drying room was literally running out of room, and I had to be strategic to make my laundry fit in there.
I will fetch my laundry tomorrow.
In the evening, I took my medicine and sprayed Nasonex into both of my nostrils. I decided not to take the pain killers, as they don’t seem to help.
I ordered two necklaces from Wish.com.
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve.
I will spend the day doing housework. I have to hoover and mop the floor, including from under the furniture, and in the bathroom; fetch the laundry from downstairs; go buy toilet paper; take out the recycling… If there is a slight chill of sunshine tomorrow, I might go for a walk while listening to Bjork’s album Vespertine on my smartphone.
At some point I will go to the gym and work out as well as I can.
