Have a happy Halloween!
Last night I had the most reoccurring dreams; places in my home town being replaced with awesomely beautiful landscapes with lots of ice cream shops; geocaching in the neighborhood near my childhood home; and a Doctor Who episode where the 10th Doctor and Martha Jones end up on a snowy continent on a planet where all the grown- ups have disappeared, and the children and teens believe their parents have gone to Heaven, and the truth is that Daleks have taken the grown- ups as prisoners.
I also had a night terror about being dead; I had a vision of lying in a dark, cold grave. I woke up to a bleak autumn morning and sighed sadly “I guess I’ll die”.
I had headache and shoulder ache and general ache all over my body, it felt like a hangover even if I have never had one.
I got up at two o’clock in the afternoon; I know it is a tad bit late, but then again, I usually feel like getting up when the sun is up, and the days are getting shorter.
I took my morning medicine and antibiotics, and took a warm shower. I shaved my armpits, washed my face, and dabbed lotion on my skin.
I put on the same Halloween dress I had worn yesterday.
I made coffee and ate fruits and vegetables for afternoon snack.
I bagged the trash, replaced the towels, and took the sheets off my bed. I put the mattress, blanket, and pillow to the balcony to freshen them. Meanwhile, Eleclya and Mirette put on makeup; Eleclya glued two plastic devil horns on her forehead, and painted her face white with black veins. Mirette put turquoise and pink glitter eyeshadow, she looked very pretty.
Me, Eleclya, and Mirette went to the train station. A young girl looked curiously at Eleclya, and her mother guessed that we are going to a Halloween party.
We traveled to Stone City, once there Suavecita drove us to Sadie’s home. Odessa arrived later, her sister had given her a ride.
Sadie's husband Jerry was the only male person there. Suzy and Annie were also visiting.
We ate candy and crisps and cheese- macaroni salad, and drank coffee. We watched Halloween- themed programs on TV, such as The Simpsons and Mythbusters.
I was pretty sure I was getting the flu; my head hurt, my throat was sore, my nose and mouth itched, my nose kept running, and I almost threw up a couple of times. I didn’t know if I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics or some of the food I had consumed, or if I had gotten the flu after a month since my last flu.
I also wondered why I was so angry; my last period was already over, and I had remembered to take medicine.
After we left, Suvicita dropped us off at my home. I took my evening medicine and antibiotics, and put on my nightie.
Eleclya, Mirette, and Odessa went to another Halloween party at a restaurant, and I stayed home. I wanted to do housework, but I was feeling so ill and faint that I decided to just go to bed.
Tomorrow I will go visit my parents. Since I have the flu, I will take a bus to their home so as not to waste my already low energy by walking or biking. I will just take the weekly allowance, and go downtown to a few thrift stores to buy nightshirts.
