...look at everything coming back to the same thing
Through a Swedish book blog, I discovered the book Bokhandelsblues, which I then found (for reservation, not to pick up, sadly) at my local library in its original form as Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops, which sounds like it'll be great fun to read. I then found the author's blog, with various quotes that made me giggle, such as:
Customer: I’d like to buy a book for my wife.
Me: Sure, what sort of book?
Customer: I don’t know. Something... pink? Women like pink stuff, right?
And then I got to this quote and just about died:
Customer: I had such a crush on Captain Hook when I was younger. Do you think this means I have unresolved issues?
Well, dear, at least now you've got plenty of company! :-)

Speaking of, I'm quite proud of myself that I've managed to write two erotic scenes into my fanfic and not made a single "petting with Captain Hook" joke. Except now I just did, so shame on me. (And admittedly, one reason I left it out of the fic was because the original setup is "What's worse than getting a blowjob from Jaws?")
