Why is everything medieval so crass?
Related to my previous post: I was looking for a nice old-fashioned word for female genitals, and the sites I found suggested that I use "cunt", which is a little bit worse than I had intended. And then I get this lovely tidbit from wikipedia:
"Gropecunt Lane was originally a street of prostitution, a red light district. It was normal in the Middle Ages for streets to be named after the goods available for sale therein[.]"
*laughs*
You guys, can you even imagine that kind of language on OUAT?
Soldier: We have lost Snow White!
Queen: You fools! In my magic mirror, I saw her hiding in a house on Gropecunt Lane!
Producers: CUT! Okay, here's the thing... we're not HBO.
