Dear Weather. It's not that I don't appreciate winter wonderlands. But it's late March. You might have showed up a couple of months ago.

I'm still doing the 500 TV eps in a year thing. It's good to find one thing I can excel at. Now I found the Judging Amy season I'd previously not had time for, and I've marathoned the whole thing in about a week. (Okay, so the "whole thing" only ever encompassed the Pasdar eps. Still.)
I actually ranked all characters in Judging Amy according to how much I like them, and David only came in fourth, after Maxine, Bruce and Sean. (Slightly above Kyle and Donna, waaaay above Lauren at the bottom.) Of course, that's David as a character. Pasdar as an actor sends my heart pit-a-pat like he always does.
I have stopped fearing that I am pathetic and instead resigned myself to that fact.

Speaking of which, brother finally returned Just Like a Woman (and Once Upon a Time in Mexico, which I had forgotten he had borrowed, and gave me four VHS tapes just to get some closet space), and I showed it to my parents. Mom was a bit uncomfortable with the crossdressing kissing bits (which are of course my favourite bits) but seemed to like it okay. Dad thought the ceiling pancake and the giant makeup suitcase were the highlights of the movie, and seemed to like it okay too. I feel that even after half a dozen viewings, I'm still not entirely over my love of a film which has Pasdar in a dress making out with Julie Walters.

Easter week procrastination (I don't want to clean or sew or do anything useful) in combination with a severe lack of ideas means I'm actually back at the Birthdayverse for once. Story #18 may only have a few hundred words left until completion. (Mainly because I've given up any pretense that it's going to have a contained plot.)
jadelennox is busy with the Nathan fic, and
roseveare is out of love with Wesley. Is there anyone who still cares enough to beta this chapter for me? Pretty please?

And finally, the main reason for this post, which is new icon. It pretty much only makes sense if one has read Most Beloved Sister by Astrid Lindgren, but then, as we know, I make my own fun. :-)
