In newer TV news, the things I expect from my TV shows have really been turned upside-down by recent episodes.

Psych is just beyond adorable. It's te kind of show that I would never fic, but I think that someone should be and pointing me to funny stories of Gus and Shawn experimenting with the gay sex while watching some romantic comedy that Gus picked out and Shawn complained bitterly wasn't for them -- not that it stopped Shawn from plopping on the couch next to Gus ...okay, I should just stop now.

No, please don't. There's so little Gus/Shawn out there. 90% of the slash fics are Shawn/Lassiter, which is fine and all but not something I'm the least bit interested in. And the gen stories I read tend very often not to have Gus, or they kill him off. So I'm starved.

I adore Torchwood and don't really care when it's bad -- but I like it even more when it's good.

Yeah, I watched all the episodes last season, but there were a couple I had no desire to watch more than once. So far this season, I could easily watch all eps again.

I've never minded Gwen or Owen, not my favorites but I don't grok the fannish hatred for either of them. I think it's important to have an Owen who is a self-involved pain in the ass.

I think the "date rape" thingy put a lot of people off Owen. Personally, I wasn't really phased by it - I mean, I liked Suzie, and she was a serial killer. :-) And Gwen, maybe because she was sort of set up as the Rose, and then she kept being Not Very Good and there was a disconnect?

I can't really say that I have a favourite on this show. It's weird, because I usually watch for the characters, but Torchwood I watch more for the fanservice. I don't mind any of the characters, but I can't say I'd mourn their demise either. (Well, maybe I would, depending on how well it was written. I'm a sap.)
