The trouble of writing original fic

A few nights ago, I got a pretty nifty dream. It included, among other things, a flying police station and two people lost in space without a space ship. I could go into further detail, but after waking up I decided that it would make a pretty fun original story, so now I'm trying not to describe things apart until I have them in the story ( Read more... )

Try writing.com

It's free, and you get feedback from various people including professionals... *if* you have the time to 'market' yourself and stuff (my problem - I don't).

Fan fiction is, at times, just too 'comfortable' for me to leave it, as huge as the 'original' urge is.

Does writing.com come in Swedish? Because otherwise, there's no point. If I meant to write in English, I could always force feed my regular readers. :-)

It does have a Swedish forum and some stuff in Swedish. Maybe people on there have other sources? Joining is free, so it might be worth a try.

Cool. I might give it a try.

I was subscibed to a mailing list called "SKRIVA" for a while, which specialized in fantasy-ish stories. The trouble was, of course, that *writing* crappy fantasy doesn't necessarily mean wanting to *read* crappy fantasy... :-)
