the weekend in a nutshell
So.. This weekend went really well. NOTHING like I expected.
The major thing was that the 'friends' that were supposed to come in from out of town didn't make it. They have requested to do it the end of next month due to one of them getting a 'stomach ache'. yeah.. ok..
So.. instead.. Saturday we cleaned the garage. Looks GREAT. We also cleaned inside and outside of BOTH our cars. A friend of ours will be using my car on tuesday, i feel better now knowing that it's REALLY clean!! Then, We took munchkin on a bike ride. She is doing soooo well with her riding. We rode with her on our 'Bicycle built for two'. It's awesome. She had a great time.
Saturday night Hunters family came over. We had some hang out time while the two girls played to their hearts content. Then we had dinner together. Our friends daughter stayed the night was munchkin which she LOVED!! THis monring we got up and made breakfast taco's. YUMM. THis afternoon our friends daughter went home and we took munchkin to the library. She read us 2 books. She is GREAT with her reading. I coulnd't believe how well she did. Her mom told us on friday not to be fooled by her because she can read very well. lol. I was sooo proud of her reading. We really enjoyed each others company this weekend. Seems some of the things I'm having to learn with the girls i babysit is transfering itself to the muchkin and it's great!
We took Munchkin up on Comanche lookout post. She LOVED the view. We were out there for about 2 hours. It was a beautiful day!! I made a pot roast in the slow cooker this morning. I decided to do something different with it so i made enchiladas.lol. with alfredo sauce. It was a big hit.
Scott took munchkin to her mom and I asked if i could stay behind. I had some much needed alone time and it felt GREAT. Seems that is something that I don't have often any longer.. big change from what it used to be. Anyways.. that was our weekend in a nut shell. Got to update my myspace page which I havn't done in ages.
We filed out taxes thursday so we are excited at the thought of all our bills getting caught up, 2 loans repaid and perhaps a trip that is WELL overdue. HOPEFULLY.. still in the planning stages of that. Bills first and we need to make sure that we can get tings taken care of.
