I'm awesome
Well, classes are over and grades are up online. I was initially very nervous about my final exam for Latin Lit (those who've read my whinging about Latin in the past understand where I'm coming from. Those just joining the party: WHY THE FUCK DID I MAJOR IN CLASSICS?! *ahem* There, I'm better now XD) but upon calculating my grade without either the final exam figured in or the optional quiz I discovered my grade was sitting at 85%, which pretty much meant the only way I could get below an 80% overall for the course would be to get less than a 60% on my final or blow off the final completely.
Needless to say, I took the final as well as the optional quiz (optional quiz = replaces lowest quiz score. Since my lowest score was a 62%, I definitely wanted to replace the damned thing!)
Grades went online today, and unless I've completely buggered up my calculations, I managed to pull off a 90% overall. My grade on the final itself was (somehow, don't ask me as I guestimated an 80% tops) 90%, and my score on the optional quiz was likewise 90%. I suppose a total of 3 As that counted towards 60% of my grade balanced out the one C+ (15% of my grade) and the one B (25% of my grade).
So yeah, stupidly proud of myself. *flings Latin books away and prepares to start buying the books needed for Classical Mythology*
