CONFLICT
I find what is going on in Israel and Lebanon to be a complete atrocity. The media here at home and in Israel is lying to all of us saying that Hezbollah is a terrible terrorist force, and that is why "we are okay" with israel bombing the fuck out of these folks.
Hezbollah is a political group with both civilian and militant arms. The United States, Britain and Israel consider Hezbollah a terrorist organization but throughout most of the Arab and Muslim worlds, Hezbollah is highly regarded as a legitimate resistance movement. The civilian wing runs hospitlas schools etc.
Hezbollah was formed to combat Israel after their occupation during which, thousands of civilians were killed.
The reason Hezbollah had two Israeli soldiers kidnapped was as incentive to free the hundereds of Palestinian prisoners(many of which are women and children) that are being held in Israel. but Israel has, for over a year, been plotting to destroy Hezbollah.
The propaghanda machine has made up out of thin air attacks on Israel that have never happened while Israel has killed over 300 people, A THIRD OF WHICH HAVE BEEN CHILDREN, and only THREE OF WHICH HAVE BEEN HEZBOLLAH MILITANTS!
This to me is disgusting. Not just the atrocity of the lives being taken but the disinformation campaign that has been going on in the middle east in general. AMERICA and its puppet Israel have been lying to you under the guise that our well-being is being threatened by terrorists, that poor Israel is getting "a rain of rocket fire".
I could go on, but this is so tiring to type out. I am by no means pro-war on any side, but what I am first suggesting is that through Israeli and American propaghanda, we have come to believe blatant lies about the current conflict. I am not trying to say by any means that I am one of the informed ones. My point isn't to tell you about everything that is going on(and frankly I can't say I know everything that is going on). My point is that I think we have all been mislead and probably will continue to be for a long time.
It is a shame that in my begging you not to trust anything the mainstream media tells you, i will be labeled as a "left wing conspiracy nut" and even those who would share my opinions, will see my as singing a tired old song. America is on some fucked up imperialistic crusade and will use any means it has to sedate you. It doesnt seem real. We like to think we are all clever enough not to be decieved and that if these things were really happening that the word would get out and it wouldnt be tolerated. this is not the case. the media firms are corporations, so ponder that. money talks, bullshit walks.
please research these things for yourself. check resources such as wikipedia and antiwar.com . they arent perfect but currently have some sense of integrity. and if you have a voice in some social setting,(ie POPULAR PUNK, METAL, and HARDCORE BANDS) please use it. <3- ryan the pilot
