I'm going to UT Austin! Today I paid my deposit, registered for orientation (June 6th -9th) and applied for a dorm at Dobie Mall, which is a private dorm building right next to the U.T. campus. I signed up to room with Emily Buell! We're hopefully getting a two-twin deluxe studio with our own bathroom, a walk-in closet, free cable TV, a phone line and internet service, a fridge and furniture included. And a free maid service every week!! I'm so thrilled, Dobie is an office-building style building with a hair salon, nail salon, post office, clothing stores, swimming pool, rec room, piano room, exercise room, movie theater, volleyball courts, and parking garage. All of the amenities are right there, all for U.T. students. And I spent the rest of the day helping her do research on black holes with the head of the astronomy department, wow!! ^_^ I had a great day!
