The gist of it is that they've managed to find an enzyme that basically that takes A, B, and AB blood and removes the markers on the surface of the red blood cells. This makes them pretty much like O blood cells. They can then take those blood types and give them to anyone without having to worry about killing them! Now we wont have to worry about hospital blood shortages as much. I mean, it makes me a little sad because now my O blood type wont be as desirable, but that's just the little tiny voice in me that likes to be special. Really I'm happy that more people will get helped. Like I said, amazing discovery!!
