Title: Regret (chapter 2)

Summary: Kibum and Donghae is getting close to each other every day and Eunhyuk is beginning to suspect something.

“I’m sorry Bummie. Come in. All of them went out I guess.” Donghae said. He’s still thinking about a lot of things. He keeps on thinking. What if Eunhyuk accepted the offer? Will Eunhyuk leave Super Junior so that he’ll achieve his dreams? Will he leave Donghae?
Donghae and Kibum spent their day playing and talking about random things. They didn’t notice the time until someone came home.
On the other hand, Eunhyuk spent his day with Leeteuk and Sungmin in the park. They helped him decide if he will accept the invite the company from America sent him or not. And he has his decision already. They also helped him with his problems with Donghae and Kibum.
Eunhyuk decided to stay in their dorm hoping that Donghae won’t be mad at him. But what he saw made his blood boil. Once again Donghae and Kibum were together. Leeteuk knew what Eunhyuk was feeling so he decided to let him stay with them for another night.
When Donghae heard that someone came, he immediately checked who were the ones home early. He then saw that Leeteuk pulled Eunhyuk out of the door.
“Leeteuk hyung! Hyukkie! Where are you going?” He asked as he catches up with them.
“Eunhyuk will be staying with us for the mean time.” Leeteuk answered for Eunhyuk.
“Why? Hyukkie, is there a problem?”
“YES THERE IS DONGHAE! ARE YOU TOO NUMB TO EVEN NOTICE THAT I’M HURTING? ARE YOU TOO NUMB TO EVEN NOTICE THAT KIBUM IS IN LOVE WITH YOU? YES LEE DONGHAE! HE LOVES YOU! HE WON’T GET ALL YOUR FREE TIME FROM ME IF HE WANTS HELP FROM YOU! Why can’t you see it Donghae? It’s too obvious yet you’re acting as if you don’t know anything.” Donghae started crying after hearing what Eunhyuk said.
“That’s not true! I only love Donghae as a friend. He’s the only one who’s willing to help me solve my problems!” Kibum answered for Donghae. He can’t take it anymore. It hurts him to see the one he love crying.
“You’re not even asking us! You only asked Donghae because you want to be with him always! I know you too well Kibum. You’re not like that in the past. You’ll always talk to me, Heechul hyung, Leeteuk hyung and Donghae if you have a problem. But now, as I can see it, you’re only talking to Donghae so you can get all his free time. Maybe you even made everything up so that he’ll help you.” Eunhyuk blurted out everything that he told Leeteuk and Sungmin earlier.
“Fine! If that’s what you want to believe, I won’t do anything about it.”
“I’m tired Donghae. I’m tired of saying its okay even though it’s not. I’m tired of pretending I’m not hurting even though deep inside my heart is breaking into pieces.” Eunhyuk broke down. He can’t take it anymore. He needs to express all his emotions.
“Let’s talk about this tomorrow. For now let’s just rest. Kibum take care of Donghae for tonight. Comfort him and let him calm down while I take care of Eunhyuk. Tomorrow we’ll be going here and we’ll talk about this. Okay?” Leeteuk said. Kibum nodded and led Donghae inside their dorm while Leeteuk went to the other dorm with Eunhyuk.
The next day, Leeteuk and Eunhyuk went to the other dorm. When they went inside, they noticed that the other members were awake except for Kibum and Donghae.
“Where are Donghae and Kibum?” Leeteuk asked Heechul who approached them while Eunhyuk went to talk with Siwon.
“I think they’re still sleeping. Go check them.” Heechul replied.
Leeteuk went to check on Donghae and Kibum. When he opened the door, he was shocked with what he saw. Kangin saw his lover’s expression so he also looked at the room. He was also shocked. Eunhyuk noticed his members’ reaction so he started walking his way to the door when…
“No! Don’t go here Hyuk! You won’t-“ Leeteuk was too late. Eunhyuk saw Donghae cuddled in Kibum’s arms. That explains everything he wants to know.
Donghae felt that someone was looking at them so he tried looking at the door. But what he saw were glares from his members and a crying Eunhyuk. He then remembered last night that Kibum embraced him while he was going to sleep.
“Eunhyuk, it’s not what you think!” Donghae tried defending himself.
“IT EXPLAINS IT ALL DONGHAE! You should’ve told me earlier that you don’t love me anymore rather than seeing you cheating on me! It would hurt less if you told me that you didn’t love me anymore Donghae…” Eunhyuk walked out of the dorm. Leeteuk followed him while the others glared at Donghae before going back to do the things they were doing before the incident happened.
“Guys! It’s not what you think! I… I…” Donghae sobbed into Kibum’s arms.
“Kibum. I Don’t know what to do anymore. They won’t believe me.” Donghae continued sobbing until he drenched on Kibum’s shirt.
“Don’t worry I’ll help you fix this.” Kibum said as he embraces Donghae.
Kibum decided to talk to his ex girlfriend and see if she would like to be his girlfriend once more. While Donghae stayed in the room because he doesn’t want to see his friends glaring at him again for hurting Eunhyuk.
Leeteuk tried talking to Eunhyuk and Donghae since Kibum is nowhere to be found.
“Donghae, explain everything you want to say now. Now is the time to tell us.” Leeteuk told Donghae.
“I’m just trying to help Kibum. He and his girlfriend broke up about a month ago and he told me to accompany him. That’s why I’m always with him.”
“That’s why you’re forgetting about me. As if I do not exist.” Eunhyuk butted in.
“Eunhyuk, stop it. Let Donghae explain all before you say your side.” Leeteuk tried stopping Eunhyuk from interrupting Donghae.
“Go on Donghae. I’m listening.” Leeteuk said.
“First of all I’m sorry for always spending my time with Kibum. I’ve been trying to get some free time so I could spend it with you Hyukkie. But whenever I’m on my way to ask you, he keeps on appearing out of nowhere and asks me to go with him.”
“But why don’t you reject him?” Eunhyuk said.
“I don’t have the guts to do it. I want to make sure Kibum is always happy so he won’t do some stupid things. He really loves his girlfriend. And I know he doesn’t have any hidden desire to me.”
“You want to make sure he’s happy but you don’t even think if your so called lover is happy! From the day they broke up you always think about him but not me! Ever since you’ve been with him you’re ignoring me!”
“I know. I’m sorry. Please forgive me Hyukkie. I promise I won’t do it anymore. I promise to be with you starting today until the last day of our vacation and also every time I will be having free time. Please Hyukkie. I miss you so much. And you know that I’ll always love you forever.” Donghae said while trying to prevent his tears from falling.
“Alright. I forgive you. But promise me. You won’t do that to me again.”
“I promise. I love you Hyukkie!”
“I love you too Hae!” Eunhyuk stood up to hug the younger boy.
“Hyungs! I’m sorry I’m late. Guess what! I’m with Yoona again!” Kibum said excitedly.
“REALLY? I’m happy for you Bummie!” Donghae said as he hugged Kibum.
“So that means I can spend more time with MY Hae?” Eunhyuk emphasized on the word my and Kibum noticed it.
“Yeah. Sorry for taking him from you Hyung. So that’s all. I’ll go now. I’m gonna meet her again. Take care!” Kibum hurriedly exited the empty dorm.

For the rest of the week, Eunhyuk and Donghae spend most of their time doing the things they used to do. Playing games, eating, strolling around the park, shopping. But Eunhyuk noticed something. He noticed that Donghae is not as happy as he is before.
“Hae, may I ask you something?” Eunhyuk said as he played with the hair of the younger one that is lying on his lap.
“Mmm?” Donghae replied.
“Are you happy? It seems like you’re much happier when you’re with Kibum than with me.”
Donghae stood up. He really didn’t want to start another fight with Eunhyuk.
“Why are you asking that?”
“Is it bad to ask? I’m just asking! But I guess you’re much happier with him. I can see it in your eyes. Don’t try to hide your feelings. I know you very well Donghae.”
“Why do you keep on insisting that?” Donghae is starting to lose his temper.
“IT’S TRUE ISN’T IT? If it’s not true then you would right away answer!”
“FINE! IF YOU WANT TO BELIEVE THAT I’M MUCH HAPPIER WITH HIM THAN YOU THEN FINE! I’M MUCH HAPPIER WITH KIBUM!”
Donghae stomped out of the living room and went inside their bedroom. Eunhyuk on the other hand went to Leeteuk.
Donghae spent the night alone in the room, crying. While Eunhyuk slept with Leeteuk again on the other dorm.
The next day is their last day of vacation. It’s also the day of Eunhyuk’s flight to America if he’s going to pursue his dreams.
Donghae kept on thinking if the words Heechul said were true.
(FLASHBACK)
Heechul quietly went inside Donghae and Eunhyuk’s room to check on Donghae.
“Donghae, are you awake?”
“Oh hyung. Do you need something?”
“I just want to tell you something. I don’t know if you’ll believe me or not. It’s up to you.”
“What happened hyung?”
“It’s something to do with Kibum.”
“What about him?”
“You know very well that he and Yoona broke up right? Well, that’s not true. In fact, he told Yoona to pretend to be his girlfriend and then break up with him so he can get close to you. He wants you to spend more of your time with him. He wants to break your relationship with Eunhyuk. He loves you Donghae. He loved you ever since. But he can’t accept the fact that you chose Eunhyuk over him. He doesn’t have the guts to tell you he loves you. I told him to stop his plan but he doesn’t want to listen.” Heechul explained.
“What? That’s not true! You’re making up lies because you all know that I’ve hurt Eunhyuk!”
“No I’m not! Why would I even do that? I’m just trying to help. But I guess I’ve made the wrong move. It’s up to you to believe what I said. Make sure you won’t regret your own decision.”
Donghae thought about it for a moment. He kept on thinking about what Heechul said. Until he fell asleep.

His thoughts were interrupted by someone who came in. He saw Eunhyuk with his luggage.
“Where are you going Hyuk?” Donghae asked.
“First, I’m going to let you choose. Do you want more? Me or Kibum?”
Heechul heard what Eunhyuk is saying and decided to stop Eunhyuk’s plan of leaving.
“What’s happening here?” Heechul asked them.
“I’m letting him choose between me and Kibum.”
“Donghae, remember what I told you last night.”
“What is that hyung?” Eunhyuk asked Heechul.
“I’ll tell you later.”
“Why are you doing this to me? Is it bad to be close to Kibum? I’m sure you’re saying that because you want me to stay away from Kibum! And I’m never going to do that!”
“So that means you’re choosing him over me?” Eunhyuk said as he tried preventing his tears from falling.
“Yes Eunhyuk. And we’re over. I’m done with you.” Donghae said as he stood up to go outside the room.
“I guess this is goodbye. You’ll never see me again.” Donghae froze when he heard Eunhyuk’s words. But he knows he has to stick with his decision.
Eunhyuk packed all his things while Heechul helped him and told him about Kibum’s plan.
“I guess Donghae doesn’t love me anymore. Hyung, as much as I don’t want to leave I guess this is the only way I could forget about him and pursue my dream.”
“Don’t worry Hyuk. We’re always here for you. But it’s really disappointing that we will not be the same Super Junior as we were before. We can’t be Super Junior without you.” Eunhyuk smiled at his hyung’s words. He knew that they will respect his decision.
Once they finished packing, Eunhyuk decided to load his things on Leeteuk’s car. He saw Kibum sitting on the living room playing with the happy Donghae. He walked up to him.
“Are you happy now? I’m leaving and you have Donghae. I won’t even bother you anymore even if I’m away. I trust you that you will take care of Donghae.” Eunhyuk said coldly.
“What are you talking about? Why are you leaving hyung?” Kibum asked but he didn’t receive any answer. He felt guilty. But he’s happy that Donghae is his already.

Leeteuk offered Eunhyuk to give him a ride to the airport. It was his last time to be with his beloved friend and dongsaeng.
“So I guess this is goodbye?” Eunhyuk said as tears are making its way down his cheeks.
“Don’t forget to update me okay? I’m gonna miss you Hyukkie! Don’t worry, I’ll take care of Donghae for you.” Leeteuk said as he hugged Eunhyuk for the last time.
“Thanks hyung. Thank you for everything. I’m gonna miss you too! Especially our Sukira days. Take care! Don’t stress yourself too much okay?” Eunhyuk tightened the hug before releasing Leeteuk and made its way inside the airport.
At home. Donghae told Kibum the things Heechul told him last night.
“It’s not true right Bummie?” Donghae said. Kibum felt guilty for breaking up the peaceful couple. He decided to tell Donghae the truth. Maybe it will make a difference.
“Hyung… I want to tell you something.”
“What is it Bummie?”
“Everything that Heechul said is true. I know you’ll hate me after saying this but at least I want to clear my conscience. After this, I won’t be going here anymore. I know you’ll be mad at me so I’ll stay away from you until you decide to forgive me. I’m sorry hyung…”
“WHAT? ALL THIS TIME YOU’RE JUST FOOLING ME! I’ve lost him. There’s nothing I can do.” Donghae felt that there will be no chance for him to see Eunhyuk and tell him how much he loves him.
“There is! If you’ll act faster. His flight is at 12 o’clock and you still have 30 minutes to go. Faster Donghae!” Heechul said.
Donghae and Kibum made its way to the airport. But on their way, they saw its traffic. They have 15 minutes to go before Eunhyuk’s plane leaves.
The cars are not moving. Donghae decided to run. 10 minutes more. But the airport is still 5 blocks away. He’s losing hope but still continues to run.
1 more block. 3 more minutes.
“All passengers leaving for America please board now.”
Eunhyuk made his way inside. He thought that Donghae will change his mind and stop him from leaving. But he was wrong.
Donghae reached the airport. But he saw that the plane Eunhyuk rode already left.
He regretted his decision. He should’ve talked to Kibum and Eunhyuk before making his decision. He should’ve believed Heechul’s words because he knew very well that his hyung won’t say those things to him if it was all a lie.
Kibum saw Donghae sitting on the floor, crying. He knew that they were too late. And he, too, will be regretting the things he did.

Eunhyuk packed all his things while Heechul helped him and told him about Kibum’s plan.
“I guess Donghae doesn’t love me anymore. Hyung, as much as I don’t want to leave I guess this is the only way I could forget about him and pursue my dream.”
“Don’t worry Hyuk. We’re always here for you. But it’s really disappointing that we will not be the same Super Junior as we were before. We can’t be Super Junior without you.” Eunhyuk smiled at his hyung’s words. He knew that they will respect his decision.
Once they finished packing, Eunhyuk decided to load his things on Leeteuk’s car. He saw Kibum sitting on the living room playing with the happy Donghae. He walked up to him.
“Are you happy now? I’m leaving and you have Donghae. I won’t even bother you anymore even if I’m away. I trust you that you will take care of Donghae.” Eunhyuk said coldly.
“What are you talking about? Why are you leaving hyung?” Kibum asked but he didn’t receive any answer. He felt guilty. But he’s happy that Donghae is his already.

Leeteuk offered Eunhyuk to give him a ride to the airport. It was his last time to be with his beloved friend and dongsaeng.
“So I guess this is goodbye?” Eunhyuk said as tears are making its way down his cheeks.
“Don’t forget to update me okay? I’m gonna miss you Hyukkie! Don’t worry, I’ll take care of Donghae for you.” Leeteuk said as he hugged Eunhyuk for the last time.
“Thanks hyung. Thank you for everything. I’m gonna miss you too! Especially our Sukira days. Take care! Don’t stress yourself too much okay?” Eunhyuk tightened the hug before releasing Leeteuk and made its way inside the airport.
At home. Donghae told Kibum the things Heechul told him last night.
“It’s not true right Bummie?” Donghae said. Kibum felt guilty for breaking up the peaceful couple. He decided to tell Donghae the truth. Maybe it will make a difference.
“Hyung… I want to tell you something.”
“What is it Bummie?”
“Everything that Heechul said is true. I know you’ll hate me after saying this but at least I want to clear my conscience. After this, I won’t be going here anymore. I know you’ll be mad at me so I’ll stay away from you until you decide to forgive me. I’m sorry hyung…”
“WHAT? ALL THIS TIME YOU’RE JUST FOOLING ME! I’ve lost him. There’s nothing I can do.” Donghae felt that there will be no chance for him to see Eunhyuk and tell him how much he loves him.
“There is! If you’ll act faster. His flight is at 12 o’clock and you still have 30 minutes to go. Faster Donghae!” Heechul said.
Donghae and Kibum made its way to the airport. But on their way, they saw its traffic. They have 15 minutes to go before Eunhyuk’s plane leaves.
The cars are not moving. Donghae decided to run. 10 minutes more. But the airport is still 5 blocks away. He’s losing hope but still continues to run.
1 more block. 3 more minutes.
“All passengers leaving for America please board now.”
Eunhyuk made his way inside. He thought that Donghae will change his mind and stop him from leaving. But he was wrong.
Donghae reached the airport. But he saw that the plane Eunhyuk rode already left.
He regretted his decision. He should’ve talked to Kibum and Eunhyuk before making his decision. He should’ve believed Heechul’s words because he knew very well that his hyung won’t say those things to him if it was all a lie.
Kibum saw Donghae sitting on the floor, crying. He knew that they were too late. And he, too, will be regretting the things he did.
