(no subject)
i'm in athens right now. i was in athens for 2 days earlier this week, then i spur of the moment decided to go to mykonos (a greek island) with some people i met in athens. best idea ever. mykonos was so much fun and unbelievably beautiful. i wish i had the time to island hop like a lot of people are doing, but i dont. i got the ferry back to athens yesterday.
i like athens alot, but its really hot and smelly here right now and too busy. today i visited the national archaeological museum, which was pretty cool. got to see things i've been learning about in my classes, plus i got in for free because i'm an E.U. student :D
the plan from here goes like this: train tomorrow morning to patras, ferry to italy leaves at 14.30, arrives in friday at 8.30ish (thats 21 hours, but surprisingly isnt that bad if you sleep during the night), train to rome. i'm staying at a hostel in rome on friday night. then i move into my apartment on saturday! my study abroad/fieldschool work thing finally begins...
