Aww...fishies!
I have no room for more goldies, but I was tempted today when I stopped for water treater and saw swarms of ADORABLE Ryukins. I'm not into orandas, but there were some calicos, a pair of chocolates, and even a pearlscale oranda! Don't see too many of them around these parts. And there was a whole tank of baby Sammys! Awwww! I couldn't help but make audible, "Aww" noises looking at them. ^_^
A lady about my mom's age was there looking at the goldfish, admiring them with me. She was looking for a friend for her redcap, Lucy--so named by her daughter because she looks sort of like Lucille Ball with piled-up red hair.
Looking at the orandas and ryukins, she pointed and said, "Look! That one has a Hitler mustache!" I cracked up and told her about Addy. She was looking for a black-and-orange oranda with black lips or mustache. Just as I was getting ready to go pay for my water treater she looked in another tank and burst out, "There he is! That's the one! He has to come home with me!" I came over to look, and she had found a very cute 4" oranda, orange and black body, black caudal fin, and black lips. Heehee... So I walked out with a boring ol' bottle of water treater, and she got a new fish. ;)
In other news, I found volume one of Maison Ikkoku (sp?) at the library--yay, a new series to read! ;D If it's as good as Ranma or Inu-Yasha, also by the same author/artist, I'll enjoy it. I also found volume two of Yu Yu Hakusho, which was awesome because before the libraries in the system only had volumes 1 and 3. Number two must have been stolen or damaged and just not replaced. So now I can fill in the hole. ;) I R teh manga geek. >_
