It's November, and in Ireland there is no technical Thanksgiving to hold people back like in the States, so Christmas time has exploded!  An unforseen positive to having an internship that counts as a class, and no other classes, is the free time I have every night, with no homework looming over my head.  This means I can start watching Christmas ( Read more... )

The Bad

I have to say the dorms do not impress me.  I was aware of the double rooms, and how five rooms per suite shared a common room and kitchen.  But the size of everything surprised me.  We have an awkward shared desk, with one shelf on the far side of the desk (not in the middle???).  We each have two drawers under our beds, and some shelves ( Read more... )

Dublin

I am in Dublin, Ireland for the semester to study abroad at Dublin City University (actually in Glasnevin, very quaint).  This is the first time I'm feeling comfortable enough to talk about where I am online other than emailing my parents and some short things on Facebook.  Homesickness hits everyone different ways and for me has happened ( Read more... )
