"We all deserve to die."
I saw Sweeney Todd tonight. I guess it was alright. I didn't hate it, I didn't love it. It was the best vocal ability Depp could do, and I can't fault the man for trying. During the movie I actually thought "...well. He's trying." (I'm extremely biased, of course, which is why I'm not writing the official Collegian review of this movie.)
It's pretty gory, and I was amused that during the first really bloody scene the girls behind me screamed, someone went "ew!" really loudly, and the guy two rows ahead of me got up and left the theater. I, on the other hand, said "this is kinda awesome!" much to the amusement of the old men in front of me.
