It always feels like the most important election of our lives, so there is never a good excuse not to vote.
Just in case folks need a push to register: I will volunteer to do research, print materials and I will send them to you in whatever form you wish, if you will only register and vote. Just comment or email me, katieintheworld@livejournal will work, anonymous commenting is enabled, in case you don't have a livejournal. Complete and total strangers are welcome to ask for help, directions or opinions (unsolicited opinions will not be foisted upon anyone). People I know and are possibly related to will get bonus hugs as well as whatever assistance they request.
http://www.maps.google.com/vote lets you enter your address and provides you with the information you need to register, specific to your state.
And in some states the deadline is Oct 4th, so now would be a good time.
