I'm quite convinced that narrow-minded stupidity is contagious and everyone around me is bloody well catching it. Not to mention some people who aren't around me. Like the complete and utter moron at the Daily Prophet who allowed that libelous trash to be published about the recent goings on at Hogwarts.
Hermione, Morag and Theodore are students, all in their NEWT year, and ought to be able to carry on their studies with only the normal amount of stress. The fact that this was already next to impossible due to the state of the world was unfair enough... the fact that it has now been heightened by some stupid bimbo's need to make a name for herself is unbelievable.
I can't even comprehend anyone writing anything of that sort about Professor McGonagall. My former Head of House is fair, balanced, kind and certainly not prejudice over something as ridiculous as bloodline. Given the circumstances that she's had to take over under, Tonteria Eris ought to be kissing her feet, not slandering her choices. Unless it's the choice to let that bleached ferret back into the school... but did that get any press? Of course not. Bloody idiots.
And, correct me if I'm wrong, but Filch being BELOVED?! IS THIS WOMAN OFF HER ROCKER?! Filch was a nasty, crotchety, sarcastic old bastard who deserved every prank Fred and George ever sent his way and then some. Terence, however, while a snarky jackass at times, is actually in need of a job since, as our reporter so kindly pointed out, he hasn't "a Sickle to his name." How DARE this bint suggest that he got the job because of his bloodlines?! Terence Higgs isn't a death-eater, he is not his parents, but he IS being punished for THEIR mistakes. He's lost all his bloody money, and when he tries to actually be an adult for once in his life, no offense Terence, he gets it thrown back in his face?! This woman ought to be drawn and quartered for her behavior.
That's about all I have to say on the subject. Except that I'm appalled.
Did not need this on top of the disaster that was Susan Bone's party... Where does Cassius get off saying things like that about Edan? I mean, yes, there is something a little... odd about him, but... is there really? Or am I just sensing a problem because of what bloody Warrington said? But at the same time, why would he say that for no reason? I'm not going to NOT go out with Connolly if he asks... but maybe I should be cautious... No. Why the hell would I listen to Cassius? I'm sure Edan is a perfect gentleman who doesn't leave his ties at people's flats... Why must people be so awful?
