No, I have not met Hugh Grant.

It was a wonderful day, filled with great entertainers, good food, and lots of innuendo and bad jokes.  The day lasted (for me) from seven thirty in the morning until midnight.  I slept like a rock last night for the first time in weeks.  Life is good.   I also found a dress I love that I think I'll wear to a couple of the weddings this summer.  ( ( Read more... )

So the good news is that I got a new book in the mail (after having paid for it).  It's a personal-poetry-workshop book that was recommended to me by someone, I'm sure.  Anyways, it's called "In the Palm of Your Hand" and I've skimmed a couple chapters and it looks great.

So I now that I know where I'm going for internship and (more imminently) I've finished off the papers I had to write for the week, life looks a lot better.  Also, it's still reasonably warm outside, even if it's been rainy, so maybe the cold snap doesn't have to happen right now.

I win!  The VCR and DVD player and TV were all not thrilled about working together, but not only did I get them all cooperating, I also got the universal remote working!  Life is fabulous.  I also slept really well last nght, which is kinda unusual.

I'm sitting in mom's hotel room, using the free wireless internet of the hotel, in a comfy bed with a Starbucks Frappuccino next to me, and BBQ Pringles next to that.  CSI just finished and in an hour Psych will start.  The hotel won't start shaking in the morning because there isn't a deconstruction site next door where they think wrecking balls ( Read more... )
