Update from the land of largish, crack-filled squirrels

Ahh, it's a good idea to drop in here every so often, even if it does have the occasional awkward moment. Happily (for those of you who read this and aren't here) everyone seems to be doing comparatively well... although yeah, surgery would be a pain and a half.

So it's just about official now: Chris and I are doing a thesis together. We'll be the first cross-seminary joint thesis ever, as far as we know, which is very cool. We're going to have to rework the system and all, which should be a fair amount of work, but now that Chris has met the people I'm working with it might start moving a little faster now. Our topic is the way that the use of the word "evangelical" has changed since, well, 2000 years ago. Chris will be handling the history before the Enlightenment, and I'll be doing the post-Enlightenment stuff; or that's what we think at the moment. He'll be focusing on history and linguistics, and I'm going to take more of a PR/media/pop culture spin, I think. Of course, this is all incredibly subject to change.

If my sentence structure is weird, it's because I'm typing this on Angela's laptop and we're listening to some rather odd music, so I keep pausing and starting again.

I am still enjoying my widgets, and in fact sort of miss having their usefulness available all the time. They're really rather wide-ranging. I wish I could make my own, but I don't know Javascript, and don't really have time to learn right now. But perhaps one day (one thing on a very very long list).

However, I should probably get going, as we have an awards ceremony to get to for various people. The stuff that just randomly happens when I happen to be here boggles the mind. Speaking of which, I should make sure that Eddie gets the tapes from Beau before he leaves.

Have a wonderful day, all! And Andrea dear, I'm still looking for you?
