Still here. Very busy.
Nick is getting so much bigger. We had our 4 mos. doctor visit yesterday. He now weighs 16lbs. 6ozs. and is 26 1/2 inches long. Tall would probably be a better term because he loves to stand. He's starting to eat solids (some rice cereal with fruit in it) and can sorta sit up on his own. We thought the doctor was gonna yell at us for giving him solids so soon, but the doctor actually recommended we ADD a solid feeding, uping the number to 2 a day instead of just one.
I'm still doing the roller derby. I skated in our last bout of our exibition season on October 30, Devil's Night for those in the know. My team, the High Seas Hotties, once again tore up the competition with a final score of 160 something to 118 (I think). I got MVP of the game at the after party and my first piggyback ride in like 15-20 years. We have a fireman as an EMT right now (much love to Rebel Burkhalter(sp?)) and he came up to me and said, "Get on my back." I looked at him like he was crazy (I had had 2 beers by this point and was pretty spacey) and said there was no way I was gonna do that. He insisted and even squatted down so I could get on. It wasn't until about half-way to our destination that I even remembered this guy is TRAINED to carry folks and if I hadn't complied, he might have just picked me up over his shoulder in the classic fireman carry and moved me to the desired location.
Our full 2006 season schedule is as follows:
March 5
April 2
May 7
June 4
June 25
July 30
August 27 (Championship)
I'd love to see any and all of you out there. Just make sure if you come out, to make a point of coming up to me because I usually am running around like a madwoman during one of these things and I want to make sure I get to say hi and hug your neck.
I'm also trying to be on the traveling team which will be going to Arizona for a tournament at the end of February. Here that Damsie....we're coming to your neck of the woods to skate. I'll try to make sure and post the details as soon as I have them. There might even be room on our bus for a few "fans" to purchse seats to come out there with us on the Derby Bus.
You can see picks of the derby at:

Love to you all. *HUG*
