Dinner Conversation
Me: My friend's going back to Laney to get her B.A.
Mom: I don't think you can get your B.A. at a community college. I think you can only get your Associate's.
Me: Really? It's not an accredited 4-year college?
Dad: You mean it's only half-a-school?
Mom: I think so.
Dad: I only have half a degree. In three subjects, too.
Mom: Which ones?
Dad: I don't remember. It's on my diploma, though.
Me: Where's your diploma?
Dad: Right next to the recipes. Which are a lot more useful.
