I had a book about killer whales. It was probably aimed at 7 year olds? Hard cover, with lots of pictures. I think it was probably National Geographic or Time-Life, and there was a series of them because I also had a book about the pandas at the National Zoo. And, one about ducks.

Yeah, a lot of what I'm turning up is that kind of thing, though not Time-Life (I wonder if they still exist?) There is a National Geographic one on migrations that I might go for.
