(no subject)
Happy April Fool's Day! I saw no poissons d'avril and I did not get tricked. I did, however, get some birthday presents and catch a train to Lancaster where I am spending the long weekend hanging out with my sister and playing xbox with my brother in law. Woo! Also she has made me chocolate cake so when she's got back from taking the boy to Morecombe we're going to eat some of that then go see Kick Ass ins Kino (I will go with you too chaletian, never fear.)
It's been a fun week though. Good times for my birthday. On Tuesday I went to see Steve Carlson in super trendy Hoxton Square (full of skinny, angular coolkids with sculpted hair). Steve was his usual earnest self and the fangirls were screechy, but the gig was good and I really liked one of the support bands (Augustus Ghost). Then yesterday we saw Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo at the Bad Film Club. Oh. My. God. It was one of the worst things I have ever seen. I mean don't get me wrong, the dancing was actually really impressive, but the film was AWFUL. Which is the point of the club, but still.
There was going to be more content here but Jillo's back now and there is cake to eat and a film to get out to. Hurrah! Have smashing Easters, my peeps.
