I've gotta say, I've been disappointed by fandom before, but the sheer negativity surrounding this episode for what wasn't in it while ignoring what was in it takes the cake. Romo's cat was presumably the last link he had to his dead wife. They probably killed the cat because he helped get Baltar off. He left his wife behind when he escaped the attack on the Colonies. His guilt has two and three layers to it.
Kara's HeadDad helped her work through the issues she has with having a special destiny that has something to do with finding her own body on Earth and her dormant daddy issues.
As for Bill, he probably conjured Carolanne up because it was their anniversary and he needed some help to ratchett his guilt up to where he thought it ought to be. Poor Bill. *pets him* He needed therapy long before the Cylons came back.
Honestly, I don't understand it when people say, "This better happen and it'd better be good, etc. etc." Just relax and sit back and enjoy the ride. Trust me. It'll be good. In a totally fucked up, rip out your heart kind of way, but it'll be good.
I suspect I'll have to break out my DS9 last season DVDs after BSG rips my heart out. At least DS9 had a happy ending, since it was just one part of a bigger and then-continuing franchise. Not like they could destroy the Federation or anything.

I decided to watch High Society after the end of BSG because of the same reasons- some laugh after the finale will do me only good. DS9 is next and supernatural and farscape... wow- I have too much to watch and too little time...
